 Shopping at The Rocks


I was on the Rocks official website looking ahead to what to do next with my daythere and found information that I think I should share. First and foremost, the old adage is true: when visiting the renowned flea markets, take into account that they are not open during the week. They are not yet open on weekdays for now. Only open weekends, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm, so wait till weekend to check out all the stalls.

It's actually pretty simple to get there. The “Getting Here” section recommends the bus as the best way to transfer to Circular Quay. From there, it’s merely a brief stroll to the center of the old town, so you really can’t lose your way.

Among all the places recommended, the store I am most drawn to is Sticky. I’ve been told they hand-make candy in front of customers, and honestly, that process seems really neat. I’m a huge fan of desserts so that is definitely the first place I will hit up. The entire place has that old school feel that I love and I just can’t wait to stroll down those cobblestone streets with my friends. It ’s a whole other ball game to the more current areas of the city.

I browsed the Taronga Zoo Sydney website and all its so calledvarious sections to learn more about purchasing tickets, staying at the hotel and engaging in fun activities. I was interested in what the zoo has to offer and what visitors can do there. You’ll find the tickets cheaper if you buy them on line rather than at the gate. A ticket for a teenager costs less if you buy it on the internet rather than at the zoo. If eight teens buy their tickets on line that’s a saving of about $25, which can still buy a lot of food.
